Microsoft Released .NET Framework 3.5 Beta 1

Frankly, I didn’t manage to duly investigate 3.0 so far. Yeah those guys are productive indeed.

What’s new:

  • Deep integration of Language Integrated Query (LINQ) and data awareness
  • ASP.NET AJAX for quickly creating more efficient, more interactive and highly-personalized Web experiences that work across all the most popular browsers
  • New web protocol support for building WCF services including AJAX, JSON, REST, POX, RSS, ATOM and several new WS-* standards
  • Full tooling support for WF, WCF and WPF including the new workflow-enabled

Aspose.Words for Reporting Services 1.0.3 Released

In this release:

  • Added support of nested subreports (those located in table cells and containing tables as well).
  • Added proper building of tables containing different report items (images, charts etc) that are immediate children of table cells.
  • Added full support of all possible image sizings and paddings.

Besides, the release includes the fixes of various layout and formatting issues reported by customers.

Aspose.Chart 3.4 Released

We have released Aspose.Chart 3.4.

  • Fixed: Minimum and maximum of axis X is calculated incorrectly when amount of points in the serieses of do not coincide.
  • Fixed: Installer is installs to “Aspose.Chart” in Programs menu of Windows. It is corrected to “Aspose \ Aspose.Chart”.

Aspose.Words for .NET 4.2.2 Released

This is a maintenance release. Here is what’s been fixed:

RTF

  • Duplicate error when using ImportNode. 
  • Images appear smaller when RTF (from Crystal Reports) is converted to PDF 

DOC

  • Null reference error when saving a document.
  • Loading DOC with CoordSize zero throws exception 
  • ‘Not expected other image formats here.’ exception during Wml2Doc conversion.

WordML

  • Saving WordML document that has hyperlinks but has no Document.BaseUri throws
  • Local path is escaped incorrectly when exporting to WML 
  • Support well-known color names in w:color elements

Aspose.Words for Reporting Services is not a typical component such as Aspose.Words or other products from the Aspose family. Aspose.Words for Reporting Services 1.0.2 Released

This maintenance release fixes different issues reported by our customers. The improvements include:

 

  • No excessive page breaks anymore.
  • Headers and footers are laid out correctly.
  • Multiple layout improvements.
  • Fixed errors when calculating distances between report items.
  • Added support for the FitProportional image sizing.

  • Now Aspose.Cells totally supports to manipulate charts, images and other drawing objects in template files
