Aspose.Words for .NET 4.2.6 Released

Today’s Aspose.Words for .NET 4.2.6 release contains the following fixes and new features (most interesting new features are highlighted):

DOC

  • 3192 – Document throws “Unable to read beyond the end of the stream.
  • 3184 – Document throws “Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: “1062” Key being added: “1062”.
  • 3147 – Image in header is ignored.
  • 3119 – ‘Unknown structure of an INCLUDEPICTURE field’ exception on document load. 
  • 3094 – Support versions in DOC.
  • 3089 – UpdateFields should take

Aspose.Words for Reporting Services 1.1.0 Released

This is the first significant release of Aspose.Words for Reporting Services since the project was launched (exactly two months ago). We are happy to notice how it evolves and we are especially happy to participate in its development.

Aspose.Words for .NET 4.2.5 Released

A set of great development practices allows the Aspose.Words Development Team to confidently release new maintenance versions as soon as there are enough fixes or new features ready. The effect of this is most of the issues reported by customers and evaluation users are resolved quickly, in a matter of days.

In the three months March – May 2007 we’ve released five maintenance versions of Aspose.Words for .NET with over 80 enhancements, new features and fixes.

Aspose.Words for .NET 4.2.4 Released

This is a maintenance release that addresses several issues reported by Aspose.Words customers in importers/exporters as well as some new features.

The highlight of this release is the support of CSS shorthand attributes in HTML import. The very populat “font”, “margins”, “padding” and “background” attributes are now supported.

  • 3061 – Support “font” shorthand CSS attribute in HTML import.
  • 3054 – Import generic font families from HTML.

Aspose.Words for .NET 4.2.3 Released

This is a maintenance release, here is what’s been done:

New Features

  • API documentation now shows values of enumerations. This is helpful for customers who use Aspose.Words from classical ASP.
  • Vertical text in table cells and textboxes is now exported to PDF.
  • Footnotes and endnotes are now exported to PDF.
  • The size of generated files is optimized – if the same image occurs multiple times in the document it is written to DOC, HTML and PDF files only once.

Aspose.Words for Reporting Services 1.0.4 Released

This release addresses several minor issues reported by customers. In particular, rendering of complex nested subreports was improved. Nested subreports containing tables often result in a deep hierarchy of nested tables in Microsoft Word documents. Starting with v1.0.4, the tables are “really” nested (containing each other) which fixes the layout and simplifies editing – for example, inner (child) tables are moved together with the outer (parent) table when positioning it in the document.

Aspose.Words for Reporting Services 1.0.3 Released

In this release:

  • Added support of nested subreports (those located in table cells and containing tables as well).
  • Added proper building of tables containing different report items (images, charts etc) that are immediate children of table cells.
  • Added full support of all possible image sizings and paddings.

Besides, the release includes the fixes of various layout and formatting issues reported by customers.
