Latest Progress in Aspose.Words’ Field Update
Aspose.Words‘ support of Microsoft Word fields is being improved all the time. At the moment, Aspose.Words updates around 3/4 of all Microsoft Word fields that can be updated. We’re hoping to support all ‘updateable’ fields before long. In the meantime, I’d like to share what progress we have made recently and what fields we have added to the supported list. I will use the same categorization offered by Word and OOXML specs.

Table Of Contents (TOC) Improvements in Aspose.Words 10.1
Just wanted to supplement the Aspose.Words for .NET and Java 10.1 announcement with some details about Table of Contents (TOC) update. The announcement states the release includes about 20 TOC fixes, let me tell you what the most noticeable categories are:
- Performance fixes. There was a performance decrease since version 9.6 reported by our users. It is no longer there, yet there is a field for further improvements.

Field evaluation and list numbering improved in Aspose.Words for .NET 9.4

{ IF {PAGE} = {NUMPAGES} “This is the last page” “See next page” }
Until the 9.4 release the … Continue Reading

Aspose.Words for .NET provides a comprehensive support for Microsoft Word lists. You can access a number of list properties, such as list levels, numbering format, and many others. Literally, you can access every list feature Microsoft Word’s UI offers.
However, until recently, you could not get the exact value of list label for each list item (paragraph) in the document. That is, if a certain paragraph had a list label like 2.1.4., you could not access it via the … Continue Reading

Aspose.Words for .NET 8.1 Field Engine Improvements
Field update was first introduced in Aspose.Words for .NET 7.0 a few months ago (in fact, it was the last decade – just think about it!). Since then, the module we call field engine (or field evaluation engine) was significantly improved. In this post I will tell you what enhancements were made in Aspose.Words for .NET 8.1 we have just released and show what Aspose.Words is now able to do.
