The Q4 releases of Aspose.Total include several new features and updates for all product lines to help developers in building more reliable and robust solutions with less effort. Directly convert Word documents to PDF and Images with the new Aspose.Words Rendering Engine

The latest version 6.0.0.0 of Aspose.Words for .NET features a new Rendering Engine that finally makes it possible to print, render to images and convert documents to PDF directly. The Aspose.Words Rendering Engine has been designed to format a document into pages with high fidelity to how Microsoft Word would have done it. When pagination is complete, Aspose.Words can render the output into a variety of the “fixed-page” formats. This architecture allows you to convert a document to PDF, print, image or render to a browser. Aspose.Words also supports the full set of DrawingML used by Microsoft Word 2007. It is now possible to use Aspose.Words to load and save OOXML documents with VML as well as with DrawingML. In addition to this, you can now load MHTML files with Aspose.Words and save documents in the EPUB format. This release also includes numerous other improvements and bug fixes. Enhanced editing capabilities in Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java

Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java version 2.2.0.0 has been released. In this release, the capability of editing various PDF contents is enhanced. A new class named PdfBookMarkEditor is introduced to allow manipulation of PDF bookmarks. A new methods has also been added to support editing of annotations. It is also now possible to replace and delete images from PDF documents. New methods have been added to PdfFileSignature to support reading/disposing more information of digital certificate. Improved ODP.NET support with Aspose.Workflow for .NET

Aspose.Workflow for .NET version 1.7.0.0 has been released. Aspose.Workflow now supports ODP.NET for .NET framework 3.5 as the data provider and provides new persistence service for better performance and extendibility. International Standard of Application Identifiers (AI) for EAN128 barcode generation supported by Aspose.BarCode for .NET

The latest version 3.0.0.0 of Aspose.BarCode for .NET offers complete support for International Standard of Application Identifiers (AI) for EAN128 barcode generation. This release also features improved compatibility and performance improvements for x64 platform, as well as improved barcode recognition accuracy for image position. Enhanced PivotTable support with Aspose.Cells for .NET

Aspose.Cells for .NET version 4.6.0.0 has been released. In this release the export of PivotTable to Excel 2007 files is supported. This release also provides support for adding pivot calculated items to PivotTable in Excel 97-2003 XLS files. Page setup Header(s) and Footer(s) in Worksheet2Image and reading/writing of XLTM, XLMX files are also supported. There are numerous other bug fixes and improvements in this release. Full support for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services with Aspose.Words for Reporting Services

The latest version 3.0.0.0 of Aspose.Words for Reporting Services has been released. This release introduces a number of great features, namely: full support for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services (final version), improved document layout, optimized items positioning, new export format (ODT), and more. Downlevel Mode rendering with Aspose.Form for .NET

Aspose.Form for .NET version 1.7.0.0 has been released. This release of Aspose.Form improves User Interfaces, and includes bug fixes and other new features. In this release Downlevel Mode rendering for XmlFormView controls has been supported. Many other improvements and bug fixes have also been incorporated into this release. Manage Appointments with Aspose.Network for .NET

The latest version 4.4.0.0 of Aspose.Network for .NET now offers support for sending appointments in email messages. Now you can send an appointment request in email, update the appointment or cancel the appointment. Listing mail messages on Exchange Server by Message ID and DataColumnMapping for Mail Merge are also supported in this release. Tutorial Video – How to password protect or encrypt Excel Spreadsheets

This video tutorial demonstrates how to create a password protected / encrypted Excel file using Aspose.Cells. In this video, we create a simple WinForm application to demonstrate the feature. When you try to open the Excel file generated by this application, you will be asked to provide the valid password otherwise the file would not open. You can view the video here.
 

Technical Tip – Delete blank Rows and Columns in a Worksheet

Sometimes, you may need to delete all of the blank Rows and Columns from your Worksheet. For example, you would need to do this when you are converting your Excel file to PDF and you only need the Rows and Columns which contain data only to be converted to PDF format. This technical tip explains how to do just that using Aspose.Cells. The complete technical tip can be found here.
