Russian and Swedish Text Replacement, Text Extraction, Adding Header, Footer and Page Number Related Features are Improved in Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java.

Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java 3.4.0 is released. In this latest version, we have improved Form, PdfViewer, PdfConverter, PdfContentEditor and PdfExtractor classes.

Russian and Swedish text replacement has been enhanced. We have also improved adding header, footer and page number related features. In this version, we have worked on making the component safer and better to be used in a multi-threaded and web server environments.

Fixing the Kittens: Autoporting Aspose.Words for Java Weekly Progress – 24th Sep 2010

In my previous post I delivered no good news about when Aspose.Words for Java with PDF rendering will be avaialble.

I want to correct the situation today.

We are still working on making sure that all unit tests pass for Aspose.Foundation (our internal library that contains the PDF and XPS renderers, platform independent graphics, imaging, font utilities etc).

Currently Aspose.Foundation, the autoported to Java version happily produces PDF and XPS output that matches our .NET product output very very closely.

Write updated common project properties back to MPP and read MS Project 2010 XML file format

Aspose.Tasks for .NET 3.3.0 has been released with the provision of updating many common project properties and writing them back to MPP file. MS Project 2010 XML file format read support has also been added in this release. Moreover, we have added support for ManualStart, ManualFinish and ManualDuration fields for MS Project 2010 MPP as well as XML formats. Implement Error Checking Options, Calculate Custom Functions and Specify Workbook’s Window Position/Size in Aspose.Cells for Java 2.4.1

We have published Aspose.Cells for Java v2.4.1 for the users.

 

In this version, we have enhanced Excel–to-PDF and Chart-to-Image features regarding performance. Reading / Writing Excel files Operation is further optimized. You can enable/disable error checking options for cells for your requirement. We have also extended Formula Calculation engine and you can now calculate custom functions more accurately. Moreover, you can specify a workbook’s window position and size for your requirement.

Autoporting Aspose.Words for .NET to Java Weekly Progress – 20th Sep 2010

It’s been a bit more than a week since I posted the last “weekly progress”.

The PaperTray enum will be gone from Aspose.Words.

Microsoft Word allows specifying different paper trays in a document for each section, for the first and all further pages of each section.

We have corresponding Aspose.Words.PaperTray enum, which is used by the Section.PageSetup.FirstPageTray and OtherPagesTray properties. The PaperTray enum has values like AutomaticSheetFeed, LargeFormatBin, ManualFeed and so on.
