Render BarCode on JasperReports and Export to PDF

A video tutorial is added to Aspose.BarCode for JasperReports documentation recently. Since, this is the first video tutorial in Aspose.BarCode for JasperReports documentation, we decided to show you the basics of adding an image to a report. Report can either be designed using iReport or it can be created manually. Then, we wrote a simple Java program to render barcode image to report and then export it to PDF format for easy viewing and printing.

Save/Retrieve Barcode Images to/from MySQL Server Database

A new technical article is added in our Aspose.BarCode for Java documentation. It features generating barcode images and saving the image in MySQL Server table in binary format, using Java and Aspose.BarCode for Java library. We also showed how to retrieve the image from the table and recognize the codetext from it. SQL script to create the required table and complete Java source code is provided in the article.

Convert RDL or RDLC files to image formats or display gaps in a Line chart

Aspose.Report for .NET 2.0.0 has been released. This release includes a ReportConverter component to render RDL or RDLC files as images. ReportConverter component has been introduced for the first time in Aspose.Report for .NET and more features will be added to this component in the future releases.

Aspose.BarCode improved barcode recognition

We recently released a hotfix of Aspose.BarCode for .NET that includes some fixes for issues reported by our customers. We improved barcode recognition process, by fixing some problems related to reading barcodes from scanned documents.

Gradient Fill Effects in Charts are supported in Aspose.Cells for JaspserReports 1.0.1

We have just released Aspose.Cells for JasperReports 1.0.1. The new version includes a number of valuable features regarding charts. For example, the Gradient Fill Effects for the areas are supported now including chart’s background (chart area, plot area etc.), legend’s background, bars and bubbles etc. The Axis labels (of Charts) in date format would be rendered correctly and accordingly. Moreover, the font sizes are adjusted appropriately to paste characters in Microsoft Excel format.

Serialize or Deserialize charts and set horizontal bars, LegendBox and custom attributes in your Java applications

Aspose.Report for Java 1.1.0 has been released. This release includes some important features and enables you to serialize the chart to XML and load the chart from XML. LegendBox is an important item of a chart and this release provides the ability to create a LegendBox and set its attributes.

We have recently updated Aspose.Flash for .NET documentation. Table generation in direct-to-file mode, PDF/A amazingly improved

There has been a complaint that memory consumption and processing time is significantly increasing when processing large tables. In order to get these issues resolved, a new feature of adding a table (Row-by-Row) directly to the file has been introduced, which has considerably reduced the memory consumption and processing time.
